Technical Superintendent

If you are a qualified and experienced Technical Superintendent and are looking for a new challenge we have the perfect opportunity for you.   Based in the scenic state of Bavaria in Germany, our client is looking for an excellent candidate with previous experience as a Technical Superintendent to join their team.  Operating a fleet of Bulk Carriers you would ideally have a strong background with this vessel type.   Given the location of this position, it is essential that you have the right to live and work within the EU.  Sponsorship will not be offered for this position.   Given the nature of a Technical Superintendent position you will be expected to travel to visit vessels and for dry dockings.   OUR CLIENT   Our client specialises in ocean transport of a variety of bulk products with modern bulk carriers and multipurpose vessels, offering creative and competitive solutions to shipping and logistic needs  

The Successful Applicant

• Sailing experience as a Chief Engineer ideally for 5 years.
• Previous Technical Superintendent experience ideally more than 5 years.
• Experience with SECA, VGP and other Environmental requirements particularly in EU and US ports
• Experience with MS Office software, BASSNET, DNV-GL Ship Manager, Fleet DSS
• Experience with planned maintenance systems is required

Job Description

• Responsible for the overall management and technical aspects for your assigned vessels – including class, flag state, dry dockings, internal audits, coordination of supplies with the purchasing department and budgeting;
• Ensure safe and smooth operations in accordance with company Policy processes/ procedures.
• Reporting to Fleet Director
