Marine Technical Superintendent

Grapefruit Recruitment is looking for a Technical Superintendent for an established Bulk Cargo company based in Germany.

Reporting to the Fleet Director, the Technical Superintendent will be responsible for the overall management and technical aspects of assigned vessels – including class, flag state, dry dockings, internal audits, coordination of supplies with the purchasing department and budgeting;

Ensure safe and smooth operations in accordance with company Policy processes/ procedures, relevant international rules and regulations, industry best practices.

Candidates applying for the position of Technical Superintendent will require the following -

• Marine engineering degree with an electrical engineering background
• Have experience as a Senior Engineering Officer on board
• Shore service experience as Superintendent or similar of 5 Years
• Experience with planned maintenance systems is required
• Experience with SECA, VGP and other Environmental requirements around the World, but particularly in EU and US ports.

The Technical Superintendent will be expected to travel when requested by the company, be a good team player and require good communication skills and be fluent in written and spoken English.

Candidates will be need to relocate to Germany.
