Duties and Responsibilities:

Working under the command of the Master (FAB’s) ensure that the FAB is fully maintained for the operation, bearing in mind the projected project and ensure that they are familiar with the commercial arrangements, in particular the terms of the hire agreement. This work may not necessarily be electrical or electronic. Ensure all work is carried out with due regard to health and safety risks. Report all accidents & incidents immediately to the Master (FAB’s).

Promote and maintain a good working relationship with other departments, third party personnel and client representative. Participate in Risk Analyses.

Vessel Type Floating Accomodation Barge
Experience required: The client would preferably have a strong background in electrical engineering stemming from a marine based environment and conversant with electronic control systems, if applicable.
Qualifications required: NVQ Level 3 Electrical Engineering (or equivalent qualification), Up to date STCW qualifications including (Basic Survival Training, Medical First Aid and Advanced Fire Fighting), Valid medical (ENG1) and standard vaccination certificates for the location of vessel. Sadly if the you do not meet this criteria you cannot be considered for the role. Preferable but not essential qualifications also include: Accredited in the 17th edition of the IEE Wiring regulations with a thorough understanding of 3 phase power and also Knowledge and understanding of: Electricity at Work Regulations and Current edition BS7671.
