Recruitment Manager required, with extensive knowledge of the Marine Industry and the ability to build strong relationships with clients.

The Successful Applicant

  • Experience working within the marine industry in a relevant role is required
  • Sound working knowledge of Microsoft Office is essential
  • Supervisory experience essential
  • Educated to minimum Standard Grade level (or equivalent)
    Demonstrate effective interpersonal and team working skills
  • Professional, approachable and ability to deal with confidential situations and information in a diplomatic and reasonable manner.
  • Excellent customer service skills
  • Problem solver and innovative
  • Demonstrate ability to plan, prioritise and manage a complex workload.

Please note there will be an on-call requirement for designated contracts and cover may also be required at another site.  

Job Description

  • Accumulate information regarding trends and developments in the marine industry to build client relations and develop Company strategies
  • On-going competitor analysis, regularly reporting findings to the Managing Director and Director
  • Proactively look to increase client base and business with existing clients through active business development
  • Work alongside the marketing department to prepare business proposals, newsletters and other relevant materials as required
  • Attend client meetings as required to build relations, discuss current activity and identify opportunities for further business
  • Take ownership for client queries ensuring responses are provided in a timely manner
  • Support the development of the Company objectives and long-term vision around the likely evolution of our existing markets and competitive landscape
  • Plan, direct, co-ordinate and review the workload of the recruitment team
  • Identify and communicate to HR and Directors any training requirements and staffing issues within the recruitment department
  • On-going review of and reporting on performance including financial performance of all recruitment personnel
  • Develop, modify and implement changes to department procedures to improve efficiency and effectiveness
  • Assist in the Preparation of agendas, reports tenders and procedures as required
  • Assist with the recruitment and supply of crew as required
  • Assist with any marine personnel enquiries from existing and new clients with management team
  • Assist with any Disciplinary and Grievance issues relating to designated contracts
  • Work with management to roll out new automated systems and proactively assist in encouraging staff to adopt and embrace new way of working
  • Ensure ship owner’s, manager’s and client’s requirements are fully understood and met, including any relevant quality procedures and work instructions
  • Take personal responsibility for allocated tasks and designated contract requirements
