Our client is seeking an LNG Engineering Instructor to join a team of instructors and developers in the Netherlands.  

About Our Client

Established since 2009, our client is a world class training centre based in Netherlands, specialising in safety and excellence in maritime operations. They have advanced simulator equipment and technology and provide first- class maritime training.  

The Successful Applicant

  • Experienced Marine Engineer with a minimum of 5-years’ on-board experience required
  • Management level Certificate of Competency (COC) -Class 1 preferred
  • Cruise Ship experience is desirable but not essential
  • Experience with LNG or LPG is desirable but not essential
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills
  • Teaching/instructing experience desirable but full training will be provided

Job Description

  • Data gathering on the new LNG fuelled ships currently being built. (Dockyard visits will be required)
  • Developing training courses for staff working on the new LNG fuelled ships.
  • Delivering training to Technical Officers and other ship-board staff as required. This will include existing training courses in addition to the primary role of LNG training
  • Performing assessments of Technical Officers and other ship-board staff.
  • Developing existing staff knowledge of LNG practices
  • Keeping up-to-date with current regulatory requirements / practices and technology.
