LPG Technical Superintendent

We are currently recruiting an experienced LPG Technical Superintendent with the right to live and work in the UK to carry out the daily supervision of owned vessels with respect to operations, reliability, HSEQA, OPEX and onboard inspections representing Owners.

About Our Client

  Our client owns a considerable fleet of LPG and LEG vessels and are currently taking their vessels into ‘in house’ management.  Our client aims to expand their fleet management capability in their London office through 2018 and 2019.  

The Successful Applicant

• A minimum of 3 years at sea, working in senior rank (C/E or 2/E) on semi ref LPG tankers
• 2 years + experience ashore as Supt managing semi ref LPG tankers
• Ethylene experience preferred but not essential
• Must have right to work in the UK

Applications will be considered from candidates who are currently working as a Chief Engineer, if they have exceptional LPG/LEG experience  

Job Description

• Treat Health, Safety and Environment as Top Priority;
• Ensure vessels are operated in a safe, efficient and cost-effective manner, ensuring compliance with Class and Statutory and Company regulations;
• Provide day to day Technical and Operational support and guidance to assigned vessels;
• Monitor vessel performance and ensure follow up action. Carry out regular risk reviews for vessel operations and ensure appropriate actions are taken;
• Management of vessel budgets and operating expenditure;
• Plan, monitor and manage dry-dockings and major scheduled and unscheduled repairs;
• Set clear goals and expectations and coach and develop Masters, Chief Engineers in line with Competence and Performance Management objectives. Participate in interviews and make recommendations regarding new-hires and promotions;
• Carry out regular vessel visits to confirm condition and compliance with our clients operating standards and provide Senior Management with Vessel Condition reports.
