Asset Management Planner

General Job Description

Our maritime client in Gourock is looking for an Asset Management Planner to join their Asset Management team on a permanent basis.  

The Successful Applicant

• A Marine engineering or equivalent shore based qualifications would be preferable but not essential as a business qualification would also be considered
• Ability to demonstrate good PC system, administrative and communication skills
• Ability to organise personal workloads in response to priorities.
• Experience in planning and co-ordination of maintenance activity
• Experience in a ship management environment would be advantageous but not necessary

Job Description

• In conjunction with the technical management team accomplish the planning and co-ordination function for vessel overhauls & emergency docking
• To assist Technical Managers with planning and co-ordination of spares, service providers, third parties for the accomplishment of vessel modifications, upgrades & projects
• To plan and co-ordinate required maintenance in conjunction with the nominated suppliers for, but not limited to, lifting equipment, passenger lifts, MES systems, navigation equipment
• Arrange fast rescue boat service and repair in conjunction with contracted suppliers and other key stakeholders (Yards/Shore Services)
• To support Continual Improvement Process within the planning function of Asset Management
• Act as planning Subject Matter Expert for business improvement initiatives including but not limited to new Asset Management Technology
• Carry out project work as directed by your Manager
