Commercial Manager

On behalf of our client, a major offshore shipping company who operate advanced vessels worldwide, we are looking for an experienced Commercial Manager to be based in Aberdeen.

In this role you will possess the authority to make decisions on and behalf of the company particularly relating to daily Chartering matters.

Responsibility and Tasks:
• Commercial responsibility, including existing charter parties, tendering and negotiations.
• Long and short term chartering
• Single point of contact for allocated clients for commercial matters
• Representing and presenting the company at client review meetings
• Ensure quality of agreed services and achieved earnings
• Involved with the strategic development of the company in the region

In order to be successful prospective candidates must have previous Chartering, Brokering and Contractual experience combined with a wealth of marine knowledge preferably as a Bridge officer or relevant engineering and technical background. In addition you must have the capacity to understand Charter Parties, the legal, commercial and operational aspects.
