Paralegal

General Job Description

  We have an exciting opportunity in Bristol for a recent law graduate (or those who have completed the graduate diploma in law) to work as a Paralegal on a contract until March 2018.  The Paralegal will work on pre-litigation cases, handling case work relating to tax avoidance schemes.

  Our client is a leading UK supplier responsible for a number of public sector contracting opportunities.  

The Successful Applicant

  Whilst experience is not required, the paralegal must have:  

• Law Degree or other degree plus conversion
• Ability to organise large volumes of material and identify missing documents
• Organised and able to prioritise workload
• Excellent communication skills, both oral and written

  This is an excellent opportunity for a first paralegal role and for the paralegal to gain valuable practical experience in a case working environment.  

Job Description

    The paralegal will work closely with experienced officers to support aspects of case preparation, the duties to include:  

• Drafting Witness Statements
• Indexing and bundling documents;
• Conducting Legal Research;
• Drafting Instructions to Solicitors Office;
• Drafting Instructions to Counsel;
• Drafting Submissions to Solicitor's Office;
• Drafting Legal Correspondence;
• Drafting Notices;
• Drafting Statement of Case;
• Attending Tribunal with Counsel
