Environmental Officer Instructor

Our client is looking for a high quality marine engineer to join their team in the Netherlands as an Environmental Officer Instructor. This role will suit a marine professional who is looking to develop their skills, motivate and train other professionals with a particular focus on environmental competency.

Established since 2009, our client is a world class marine training centre based in Netherlands, specialising in safety and excellence in maritime operations.  They have advanced simulator equipment and technology and provide first- class maritime training.

The Successful Applicant

• Experienced Marine Engineer or Subject Matter Expert (SME) shipboard environmental compliance, would be preferred;
• Cruise Ship experience is required;
• Previous experience in teaching/instructing would be preferred, especially in a marine setting;
• Must hold a Class 2 CoC, Class 1 preferred.

Job Description

• Delivering environmental training to ship-board staff;
• Developing & delivering courses/new procedures to be implemented on board ships related to environmental procedures and requirements;
• Based in the Netherlands with a high number ship visits;
• Keeping up to date with current practices, technology and regulatory environmental compliance;
• Regular ship visits to maintain/update and verify that best practices and procedures are being adhered to.
