CETO for New Build Project on M/Y 100m+ (NBGC)

This large new build requires a ‘hands on’ and hardworking CETO with previous experience in a similar position on Passenger/Cruise/Ferry/Ships or 100-m+ motor yachts.
This is a Permanent position with a Land Based Contract until end of 2018, then switching to a Seagoing contract on full rotation. You MUST be fluent in both written and spoken English and you will need to be a European Citizenship or be legally allowed to work in Europe to apply.

The successful candidate will have the following experience and fit this profile:

• Previous experience in similar position on 100m+ yachts or passenger ships (cruise ship, ferry)
• Senior Officer with team managing capabilities
• Yard and new build experience
• Class/Flag surveys experience on passenger ships
• Able to lead electrical projects including writing detailed specs, reviewing quotes, monitoring budget, following-up work execution and final commissioning in an organized, documented and trackable way
• Working according to the highest safety and security standards (risk assessments, permits to work, work procedures, lockout-tagout)
• Good communication skills in order to report about technical aspects and maintain excellent relationship with working partners (yards, contractors, suppliers, superintendents)
• Proactive to problems and good at finding solutions under pressure
• High work ethic, consideration for details, keeping neat and tidy workplaces

You must also be proficient in the following: (operating, maintaining, troubleshooting, upgrading)

• Diesel electric propulsion WARTSILA SAM VEM
• Wartsila Generators 6.6kV
• 6.6kV switchboards and switching gear
• Ship’s automation and monitoring systems
• ER equipment (motors, hydraulic, HVAC, refrigeration, FW production, sewage treatment, …) 
• Ships security systems (CCTV, DACS)
• Ships safety systems: sprinkler, fire detection, PA/GA, fire doors controls, …
• Hotel professional equipment: galley, laundry, elevators
• Emergency Power Systems UPS, Rectifiers
• Integrated Bridge Navigation and communication equipment
• General Automation, PLCs WAGO, ABB, SIEMENS, etc…
• Electrical Spares management: inventories and purchasing
• Communication: VSAT/TVRO/ GSM/, Fleet Broadband, Iridium, Inmarsat, GMDSS, UHF 
• Enterprise IT systems: Networks, Virtual machines, Clients, Phone systems and Wifi
• AV control systems: Control processors, Interfaces (KNX, DMX, lifts…), GUI’s and user devices.
• AV sources and distribution system: IPTV, DVB-S, Crestron NVX, AVOD, Satellite TV

Qualifications Needed:-

• STCW Basic Training
• Seafarer Medical (valid min 6 months) 
• International Passport/European Citizenship
• Seafarer Discharge Book
• Security Awareness or designated security duties
• Passenger Safety Certificate
• COC III/6 – Electrical Technical Officer
• Qualification for High Voltage Safety

Start Date: September 2017
Salary: €9000 per month. 30 days leave per year based on 5-day work week & 2 return economy flights per year to your homeport. 24/7 Crew Health Insurance
