Chief Engineer, ASD Tug, South East UK

We are currently seeking Chief Engineers on behalf of our client based in the South East.

Responsibilities for the position will include:

• Maintenance and repairs to technical installations in accordance with PMS and company standards. Operation of the winch whilst towing and to assist on deck when mooring.
• Overseeing the correct and efficient use of technical supplies, spare parts, fuel and lubricants on board.
• Responsible for the technical equipment and resources needed for life and work on board.
• Monitor the performance of work where necessary.
• Prioritise safety at work, and contribute to maintaining and improving safety standards.
• Participate in safety and security exercises.
• Responsibility for the administration and reports related to the technical department.

Rotation - two weeks on, two weeks off.

Experience required:

• STCW certification as chief engineer> 3000 KW
• Experience in the position of Chief Engineer with ASD Tugs.
• Valid relevant STCW short course certification and ENG 1.
