Engineer of the watch wanted for a small steam passenger ship operated as a luxury yacht (80 m and 25-30 crew)

Responsible for the running and maintenance of engines and auxiliaries, you work with a junior engineer, motormen and an electrician. You report to the chief engineer.
Ideally, you have a commercial background and passenger ship endorsements: STCW III/1 up to 3000 kW minimum, STCW V/2 and VI/6-2. You have documented experience with steam boilers and machinery. The engines are quadruple expansion reciprocating with mostly original auxiliaries, but recent diesel generators.

We are looking for a non smoking candidate with no visible tattoos, good work ethics and willingness to learn as he/she may be called to replace the chief engineer during holiday periods. Absolutely fluent in English, but French, Italian or Russian a plus.

The boat is single season based in Monaco, so it is a full time job with 30 days paid leave and one return flight home per year.
There is shared accommodation with another officer
The ship is now completing a refit and re-classification, so experience with class society work is a plus.

This job has expired. You cannot apply for it anymore.
