Chief Engineer - Sail Training vessel

Chief Engineer on a sail training vessel sailing worldwide.

The duties include but are not restricted to:

Efficient operation, repair and maintenance of all mechanical and electrical machinery and associated equipment

Upkeep of the engine room, pump rooms, steering gear compartment and all storage areas used for the vessel inspections

Organising maintenance and repairs so that the ship is able to maintain its schedule

Running the ships bar, stock ordering and tallying bar bills.

Tours of duty are approximately 4-8 weeks on board and approx. 2-4 weeks leave although a pro-rata contract may be possible.

Annual leave rate 125 days per year rising to 136 days.
