Technical Superintendent

TECHNICAL SUPERINTENDENT - Rotterdam
(Preferably living in the Netherlands already)

We are currently working with a Dutch client with a vast background in the transportation of gas, chemical and oil products globally. At present the Technical Department is looking to expand due to their continuous growth as a company, therefore they require a Technical Superintendent to actively look at optimising fleet technical performance, including vessel speed/consumption.

Responsibilities

• Performance optimisation of the fleet.
• Setting, driving and monitoring energy, emission and operating KPI's.
• Fuel consumption reduction / optimisation initiatives across the fleet and monitoring of performance trends.
• Liaising with technical / operations / commercial colleagues
• Monitoring vessels' technical performance trends and to devise / implement new initiatives.
• Visiting fleet vessels.

Your profile:

• Higher educational level (engineering degree) and / or relevant sea-going experience to senior officer level.
• Relevant office working experience, preferably in maritime transportation (gas or chemicals is a plus).
• Thorough knowledge of ship and terminal operations and industry standards.
• Fluent in Dutch and (business) English, both oral and written.
• Experienced in using MS Office, ShipNet knowledge is a plus.
• Proven analytical skills.
• Hands-on self-starter, accurate, flexible, stress-resistant.
