Tug Master Based In Rosyth

On behalf of our client, Genesis Personnel currently seek a Tug Master Based in Rosyth - Fixed Term Perm Dayshift Contract for various FCBC Tugs and moving these vessels safely between various points and has complete authority for taking all necessary actions for safety, pollution prevention and efficient operation of the vessel.

Operating vessels between various points.
Vessel maintenance are maintained in line with Company and legislative requirments.
Line Management responsibility for all vessel crew on board.
Maintaining on board safety equipment and vessel cleanliness
Ensuring all on board procedures and records
Act as the point of contact for all Port authorities to ensure the safe passage of vessels.
Actively lead all crew to participate in vessel safety drills and emergency procedures
Implementing all Company and MCA safety regulations.
Reporting all accidents, non-conformances, other hazardous situations and vessel defects.
Carry out general duties to allow BMC to fulfil obligations.
Operating Tugs with Voith Propulsion.
Towing and Handling Barges

This is a permanent position, Salary negotiable depending on experience.

Candidates are required to have extensive Tug experience and MUST hold the following:-

Master ENG1 Seafarer Medical Certificate or equivalent.
STCW Regulations Certification (Medical Care, Advanced Fire fighting, Personal Safety and Social Responsibilities, PST)
