B.SC/M.SC in relevant subject or Chief Engineer/Technical Manager
- Experience from similar positions from larger projects within the international oil & gas industry or from positions dealing with technical maintenance and maintenance philosophy. MSUP, 2nd ENG, Shipyard supervisor, Shipyard engineer.
- Liaise with the units OIM in all matters concerning the execution of all on-board activities, mobilisation and demobilisation of all personnel and equipment and in order to prevent unwanted interaction with the unit’s mode of operation
- Ensure that all site activities are performed in compliance with the governing safety standards and safety management system
- Perform quality checks and supervise quality performance
- Supervise and assist when required the Contractors and Activity Leads in their execution of activities
- Follow-up on mobilisation, execution of on-site activities, demobilisation and on-site close-out in cooperation with Assisting Project Manager or Project Manager as instructed
- Issue a Weekly Performance Report (WPR)
- Follow-up on personnel issues within the Site Team
- Establish and maintain good hand-over routines.
Special Responsibilities:
- Keep close dialog on a regular basis with the units OIM concerning but, not limited to the following issues:
- Units overall operation mode and plans for execution of activities
- General and specific HSE issues and execution of the Permit to Work regime
- Mobilisation and demobilisation of personnel and equipment
- Requirements for bed space and availability including catering
- Logistics that may interfere with operation of unit and/or project activities
- Overall and activity specific schedule
Ensure that all site activities are performed in compliance with the governing safety standards and safety management system
- Ensure that the Permit to Work system is adhered to for all project activities
- Ensure focus on safety awareness in all aspects of all activities
- Ensure that all relevant policies, procedures/task plans and check lists are available and communicated to relevant personnel
- Supervise contractors adherence to safety and take action as appropriate
Perform quality checks and supervise quality performance
- On a regular basis and especially upon completion of activities; perform quality control of work performed and report to superior within the project. Follow-up according to instructions
- Collect and perform quality check on and verify all as-built documentation and report to superior in the project. Follow-up according to instructions
Supervise and assist when/as required the Contractors and Activity Leads in their execution of activities
- Supervise general performance and advise or assist as found appropriate, but not limited to the following performance issues
- Any deviation from quality standards according to contract and scope of work
- Negligence to safety awareness
- Concerns with regards to schedule
- Personnel resources, their competence, skills and if sufficient resources are available
- Any other concerns
- Follow-up on mobilisation, execution of on-site activities, demobilisation and on-site close-out in cooperation with Assisting Project Manager or Project Manager as instructed
- Supervise all mobilisation and demobilisation plans and activities and communicate to Project Management without delay if interference or any concerns arises

- Keep track of time consumed and progress regarding contractor personnel, equipment on hire and consumption of consumables
- Keep track on and agree with contractor on any down time or time off hire
- In cooperation with the Fleet manager or Technical superintendent ; collect all as-built documentation and verify as described above
Follow-up on personnel issues within the Site Team
- Any minor personnel issues raised within the Site Team shall be handled within the team as far as practical
- Other personnel issues shall be reported to the Project Management for their consideration and further actions
