Able Seaman

Job Description

For one of our clients, an international FPSO owner and operator, we are currently recruiting Able Seamen.
This positions will initially be based in South East Asia for the commissioning phase, after which the FPSO will move to West Africa.

Carry out instructions issued by Officers on Watch as long as they are sound and within the accepted practices of good seamanship

Carry out instructions as specified by the Master, vessel’s officers and Bosun
Committed to Safety and Company Procedures in all tasks
Maintain deck equipment and machinery as specified by Bosun / Chief Officer
Clean, chip and paint as required
Assist in other engine room duties should there be a requirement to do so
Assist in cargo handling at offshore locations
Ensure that any tasks they carry out are done in a safe manner
Assist in the mooring and unmooring of the vessel in port and at offshore locations
Maintain a lookout in the hours of darkness or restricted visibility

Job Requirements

Proven track record in the role of Able Seaman, preferably with FPSO experience
Able Seaman Certificate + BOSIET are mandatory requirements for the role.
Security Awareness Training
Good English written and spoken
Medical Fitness Certificate
Valid vaccination
