Fleet Operator (Office) - Cyprus

As the shipping industry in Cyprus grows, a major shipping company seeks to employ an experienced operator for it's offices in Limassol, Cyprus. Applications are invited from candidates with experience at sea and also office based. This is a great opportunity to be a part of a start up and assist in the set up of the operation

Candidate Responsibilities:

• Provides all necessary shore-based support and assistance to the vessels assigned mainly in terms of commercial operation.
• Co-ordinates the vessel, the Company and third parties (i.e., charterers, port agents, brokers etc.) in accordance with Safety Management System (SMS) and any other relevant International requirement in order to ensure that the assigned vessels fulfill the voyage and charter party requirements for a safe and smooth voyage performance.
• Reports to the Operations Director.

Candidate Profile:

• Ideal candidate must have at least 7 years' office experience in a similar position
• 5 years sea going experience on bulk carriers with a Captain class A license
• Fluency in Greek and English
• Knowledge of Navision
• Excellent communication and negotiation skills
• Willing to relocate to Limassol, Cyprus
