Instrument Technician

Job Description
For one of our clients, an international FPSO owner and operator, we are currently recruiting Instrument Technicians.
This positions will initially be based in South East Asia for the commissioning phase, after which the FPSO will move to West Africa, with 1st oil expected in December 2016.

The Instrument Technician responsibility covers instrumentation on whole unit.
• Maintain, repair, update and calibrate all instrument systems
• Know Emergency Shutdown and Fire and Gas Detection systems
• Take supportive role as backup personnel to Sr Electrical Tech & Elec Tech
• Responsible for checking and recording of status on all process field instrumentation
• Liaise with Storekeeper for spare parts stock and necessary purchasing
• Assist in maintenance of various safety and alarm systems in whole unit
• Undertake training relevant to the position requirements
• On-the-job-training of colleagues and trainees
• Member of Emergency Response Team


Job Requirements
Suitable candidates will have the following background:
Electro-electronic education at higher level
2 years’ experience as an Instrument Technician with Production Plant operation
Very good English written and spoken
Fitness Certificate
vaccination (Yellow fever, hepatitis B)
