For one of our clients, an international FPSO owner and operator, we are currently recruiting Junior and Senior ElectricalTechnicians.
This positions will initially be based in South East Asia for the commissioning phase, after which the FPSO will move to West Africa, with 1st oil expected in December 2016.

The Senior Electrical Technician responsibility covers electrical and instrumentation equipment on whole unit. Monitoring and troubleshooting of Emergency Shutdown, Fire and Gas Detection systems and ICSS. Supervise Electrician, Instrument Technician and DCS Technician

While Junior Technician’s responsibility covers electrical equipment on whole unit.

Specific Duties

The maintenance and repair of all electronic and electrical equipment including (not limited to):

• High and low voltage systems
• Automation and control systems
• Internal communications equipment
• Deck and cargo monitoring equipment
• Engine room equipment
• Generators and motors
• Computer network

Follow PTW system, rules, regulations and work procedures applicable to his responsibilities
To report any hazardous situation or equipment failure as appropriate
Monitor spare parts inventory related to the area of responsibility
Familiar with Computerized Maintenance system
Undertake training relevant to the position requirements
Ensure personnel qualifications are established and that each individual is given the opportunity of improvement through selective on the job training

Job Requirements

Suitable candidates will have the following background:
Meet the standard of competence of electro-technical officer (ETO) STCW code A-III/6
3 years required offshore experience. onshore experience acceptable
Permitted to carry out maintenance on HV systems
Medical Fitness Certificate (Flag State minimum requirements)
Fitness Certificate vaccination (Yellow fever, hepatitis B)
Very good English written and spoke
