Vetting Superintendent - Netherlands

Meraki Talent are currently recruiting for a Vetting Superintendent with a ship management company operating specifically in the chemical tanker space.
This position is based in the Netherlands on a full time, permanent basis and the company will offer assistance with the relocation process if this is required.

You will report directly to the Quality Assurance Manager and will be part of a growing team who are dedicated to ensuring the standards and systems for HSEQ aboard the vessels are met.

Responsibilities:
Ensuring a constant and high level of quality and to ensure that inspections and vetting is passed comfortably
Organise, implement and conduct training
Prepare and conduct audits as well as following up and rectifying any issues
Promote HSE and welfare of all staff
Identify training needs
Assisting with the recruitment and selection of crew members
Investigate and report in incidents and accidents and provide advice on potential improvements

Requirements:
Chief Officer/Master license + 2 years seagoing experience aboard Chemical Tankers
Strong background in HSEQ and risk management – a thorough understanding of rules, regulations, codes and guiding principles
Relevant experience in vetting & inspections
Must have a pro-active attitude
