Technical Superintendent

We are currently looking to recruit a Technical Superintendent for a permanent position based in Germany. This position is with a leading ship management company and offers a competitive salary along with the opportunity to work with an established company in the German tanker industry.

Duties and responsibilities of the Technical Superintendent – Tanker:

• Plan and arrange for dry-docking and repairs
• Offer technical support to fleet
• Ensure assigned vessels are being operated in a safe and efficient manner
• Monitor economic performance of assigned vessels
• Responsible for budget and cost control
• Planning and co-ordinator of repairs and maintenance
• Support shipboard management including Chief Engineers
• Prepare technical reports
• Assist with manning requirements

Background of the Technical Superintendent – Tanker

• Degree qualified in a marine engineering subject or equivalent
• Previous seagoing experience as a Chief Engineer
• Experience in a shore based Technical Superintendent position
• Excellent knowledge and practical experience in marine engineering or ship operator
• Strong communications skills and excellent English language skills (written and spoken)
• Good IT skills
• Excellent experience with Tankers
• Experience with budget control
