Rotational 2nd Engineer – 70M Private Yacht – Mediterranean – Jan 2016 Start

Change international client, a leading international yacht management company now requires a 2nd Engineer for their Private 70M yacht currently cruising the Mediterranean. This is an excellent opportunity for a 2nd Engineer with a commercial background to join a well ran Yacht and experienced crew.

As 2nd Engineer you will be responsible for planning the day to day maintenance activities and mentoring more junior personnel.

Additional responsibilities will include:
- Working closely with the Chief Engineer
- Installation of new parts as required
- Completion of Yacht paperwork
- Ensuring spare parts stores are adequately stocked
- Ensuring that the yacht is compliant with international standards

Requirements:

- 2nd Engineer Unlimited
- Experienced with MTU4000 Generators beneficial
- MCS-5 Automation Systems experience beneficial
- Minimum of 2 years experience as 2nd Engineer on board a commercial vessel, cruise liner or a yacht
- STCW Basic Safety Training
- ENG1 Medical
- Able to commence employment around the 16th January 2016
- Able to work to 3 months on / off rotations
- Happy to work in the Mediterranean
- European passport holder

Salary: 6000USD per month (Negotiable depending on experience)
