We have partnered with a Global Oil and Gas Industry leader that is looking for an Electrical Surveyor with MODU experience .
The Electrical Surveyor with MODU experience position will be based in Houston.
Responsibilities for the Electrical Surveyor with MODU experience position:
- Understand survey SOW
- Confirm resources meet survey needs
- Confirm reporting requirements
- Ensure daily inspection prioritization
- Understand data capture plan
- Understand quality assurance plan
- Understand what is on contract vs. outside work
- Understand overtime control
- Understand what is acceptable progress for project
Required Experience for the Electrical Surveyor with MODU Experience position:
- Undergraduate Degree in Electrical Engineering, or equivalent Electrical Surveying/Engineering experience
- 2-5 years' Electrical Surveying/Engineering experience
- Valid Helicopter Underwater Escape Training (HUET) or Basic Offshore Safety Induction and Emergency Training (BOSIET)
- Valid Rig Pass or Safe Gulf Endorsement
- CompEx Certification
- Valid (Transportation Worker Identification Credential) TWIC Card
- Valid Government Issued ID
- Significant knowledge of ship building practices, standards, procedures and conventions.
- Understanding of class society requirements, regulations and guidelines (ABS, DNV, LR, etc.)
- Knowledge of welding practices and codes
- Inspection coordination/management experience
- Sound working knowledge of offshore operations with respect to survey services
Work Requirements for the Electrical Surveyor with MODU experience position:
- Must be able to pass a UKOA/UKOOA physical
- Onshore/Offshore Travel- Up to 50% of the time, via helicopter and boat
- Shift work, with long hours.
- Frequent direct exposure to adverse weather
- Exposure to smoke, heat and cold conditions
- Potential involvement in emergency situations, which may involve the individual being exposed to extreme physical exertion, to thermal and smoke exposure, as well as cold water immersion.
