1st Mate

The Company

Our client is a luxury private 50m+ Super-yacht. She has a busy cruising itinerary planned and they are looking for an experienced, professional 1st Mate to run the deck and Safety on board.

The Role

The position will see you participating in the following:

- Carrying out Safety checks and routine safety on board.
- Leading and teaching the more junior crew
- Bridge operations
- Assisting the Captain
- General deck duties when needed with a hands on approach


The Person

The ideal candidate for this position will be enthusiastic, a team player and a quick learner. You will need to hold the following qualifications:

-STCW including the new Safety module

-Valid ENG 1

-B1/B2 Visa

- OOW (minimum ticket)

-ISM/ISPS knowledge

-Powerboat Level 2

-Safety Officer Tickets

-Dive tickets are a bonus
