Remote Level III NDT Technician

We are the global leader in Oil and Gas recruitment and consulting, providing our clients with permanent and project based solutions. We employ a team of 140 professionals globally with operations in the United Kingdom, Singapore, and the United States (Houston and Florida). We have partnered with a Global Oil and Gas Industry leader that is looking for a Level III NDT Technician to join their team. The Level III Technician is responsible for overseeing the quality assurance/quality control on behalf of client and will utilize advanced NDT methods, techniques, and equipment and interface with the Engineering Division to ensure a successful project execution.
The Level III NDT Technician will be responsible for the following:
- Coordinate pre-job planning activities including personnel selection, verification of qualifications, and client specific requirements
- Perform and supervise inspections in the field based on independent thought and action to properly complete evaluations based on code and customer specifications
- Interpret or evaluate test results in accordance with applicable codes, standards, specifications, or procedures and communicate findings to the Engineering Division
- Communicate and deal with customers and other parties in person in such a manner as to benefit the professional reputation of the company
- Mentor and train NDE staff regarding performance terms of quality and skill level, ensuring conformity with relevant specifications and codes
- Complete technical and performance reviews of all personnel periodically
- Assist and develop with the Engineering Division new NDE applications
- Properly interpret regulations, codes, and industry standards.
- Report any deficiencies in operational and service level non-conformances to the Project Manager or Operations Manager as applicable
- Maintain compliance with company safety procedures and policies including field safety forms completion and submittal
- Identify circumstances that necessitate the use of proper safety procedures and equipment
- Ensure equipment is properly maintained, inspected, and secured at all times per company policy
- Complete all required training, including tests, within company guidelines
- Be proficient with standard computer software (such as MS Office Suite) and be able to write detailed inspection reports while maintaining an organized system of files.
The Level III Technician will possess the following skills:
- Ability to teach / impart technical and administrative skills to junior technicians
- Detail oriented with a dedication to the quality control and quality assurance process
- Ability to multi-task and properly execute multiple simultaneous assignments without sacrificing efficiency or quality of the work.
- Ability to communicate and cooperate with diverse groups of people.
- Demonstrated verbal and written communication skills as well as basic computer skills (MS Office Suite).
- Knowledge of the structure and content of the English language including the meaning and spelling of words, rules of composition, and gramma
- Knowledge of arithmetic and algebra
- Knowledge of principles and processes for providing customer service.
Required Education and Experience for the Level III NDT Technician:
- Current Level III ISO accredited 3rd party certifications (ACCP, PCN) in the following techniques: Ultrasonic Testing and Magnetic Particle Testing
- Minimum of advanced NDT technology or service certification in ToFD, Phased Array, or AUT
- EPRI-UT Fossil UT Certification or the ability to obtain the certifications
- +10 years' experience in advanced inspection techniques, quality control, and procedure writing
- Previous experience or in depth familiarity with applicable departmental field experience
- Extensive knowledge of industry standards
- Current valid Driver's License from state of residence
- Must have the ability to maintain company and industry certification standa
- Must be able to travel out of town 60% or more of the time.
