Chief Engineer

The Company
Our client is a 50m+, Mediterranean based, luxury private yacht. This is an active boat with a keen water-sports owner and is used regularly throughout the year.

The Role
Chief Engineer
- Managing all operations of the engine room and wider engineering tasks on-board
- Guiding the 2nd engineer to ensure all maintenance duties are completed.
- Ensuring all safety, operational procedures are followed.
- Assisting with water-sports activities where needed.
- Involvement in heli-ops as directed by the captain.

The Person
The ideal candidates for this position will be looking for a long term placement on a private yacht with the following qualifications:
- Previous experience as a Chief Engineer on a similar sized yacht.
- Chief Engineer requires a minimum Y4 qualification.
- A willingness to get involved in deck work (water-sports) where necessary
- A strong hands on approach to engineering and the wider role.

The Reward
Our client is offering an opportunity to join a fantastic yacht with an excellent opportunity for furthering your knowledge of all yachting aspects (inc. heli-ops) and engineering. You will also be rewarded with a salary, depending upon experience, between €7,500-€8,500 per month. This role is offered on a 3mo/1mo rotation with 50% salary being paid during the off rotation.
