Part-Time Contract Staff Accountant (Contract)

We are the global leader in Oil and Gas recruitment and consulting, providing our clients with permanent and project based solutions. We employ a team of 140 professionals globally with operations in the United Kingdom, Singapore, and the United States (Houston and Florida). We have partnered with an Oil & Gas company in Houston who has an immediate need for a part-time staff accountant on a contract basis.

This position will require someone to work two days a week.

Staff Accountant will have the following responsibilities:

• Administer accounts receivable
• Prepare journal entries
• Complete account/bank reconciliations and identify and resolve any discrepancies
• Assist with month end closings
• Complete general ledger operations

Staff Accountant will have the following experience:

• Bachelor's degree in accounting, finance or business
• 5+ years of accounting experience and at least 1 years' experience utilizing QuickBooks
• Knowledge of accounting principles including accruals and depreciation
• Attention to detail and extremely accurate in reporting
• Excellent communication skills in order to liaise with internal and external audiences
• Analysis and problem-solving skills
