2nd Engineer

The Company
Our client is a 55m+ Mediterranean based luxury private yacht. After a busy summer season they are looking for a Filipino speaking 2nd Engineer to come on-board and help prepare the yacht for the 2016 season. This will be a full time position with the opportunity to cruise next season for the right candidate.

The Role
2nd Engineer
- Working with the Chief to manage and maintain all operations of the engine room.
- Taking guidance and completing tasks as assigned by the Chief Engineer.
- Ensuring all safety, operational and commercial procedures are followed.
- Completing the necessary winter works in order to get the yacht ready for 2016 season.

The Person
The ideal candidates for this position will be looking for a long term placement on a private yacht with the following characteristics:
- Previous experience as a 2nd Engineer on a yacht 40m+.
- Experience working with Caterpillar engines would be advantageous.
- Hands on problem solving abilities with a strong work ethic.
- Be able to speak fluent Filipino, note this is a MUST for this role.
