Design Checker (Contract)

We have partnered with a Global Oil and Gas Industry leader that is looking for a Senior Structural Design Checker.

The Senior Structural Design Checker position will be based in Houston.

Responsibilities for the Senior Structural Design Checker:

• Experience with sketches or specifications of the project, and its detailed CAD drawings
• Proficient in the latest AutoCAD and/or MicroStation, Microsoft Office and Windows applications
• Ability to interpret detailed instructions in diagram or schedule form
• Provide written comments and reports
• Proven ability to work successfully as both an independent contributor and a team member
• Work closely with a Professional Engineer - P.E. and Project Manager
• Experience in a fast-paced environment, managing multiple projects and hitting deadlines

Requirements for the Senior Structural Design Checker:

• Bachelor's degree required - Mechanical, Civil or Electrical Engineering, Architecture, Engineering Technology preferred
• Working knowledge of AutoCAD and CADWorx
• 5+ years' experience in architecture or engineering construction design or drafting preferred
• Excellent analytical, research and problem solving skills
• Very strong technical skills using Microsoft Office Applications
