We have partnered with a Global Oil and Gas Industry leader that is looking for a Senior Sales Manager position

PURPOSE: Responsible for generating new business and managing existing business relationships. Supports the regional team in all sales and customer service efforts.

ESSENTIAL DUTIES: Below is a list of essential duties of this position. Other duties may be assigned as needed.

  1. Implements any strategic sales plans or corporate goals that have been established by Senior Managemen
  2. Sets performance goals accordingly. Compiles lists of prospective customers for use as sale leads. Actively pursues new business to expand the company.
  3. Supports the regional team in all sales efforts and customer needs within his/her assigned region.
  4. Represents the company at trade association meetings to promote the company.
  5. Delivers sales presentations to key clients. Travels throughout the country to meet with current and potential customers in order to maintain relationships and negotiate and close deals.
  6. Analyzes and controls expenditures to conform to budgets.
  7. Prepares reports showing volume, potential sales, and areas of proposed customer expansion.
  8. Monitors and evaluates the competition and makes recommendations to respond to competition. Keeps up- to-date on industry trends.
  9. Negotiates profitable contract terms with customers.
  10. If needed, assists with collections by working with customers on payment schedu
  11. Demonstrates commitment to the Responsible Care system. Effectively communicates the policies and procedures of Responsible Care to stakeholders. Promotes Responsible Care throughout the Company.
  12. Maintains good working relations, acts professionally and positively represents Westway.
  13. Maintains confidentiality.
  14. Participates in relevant and mandatory training.
  15. Takes the initiative to identify problems, uses judgment to find appropriate solutions and follows through on resolving issues in a timely manner.
  16. Supports team efforts, actively works to generate respect and enthusiasm, cooperates with others, and actively learns from other team members.
  17. Interacts and communicates with clients/tenants and other staff in a professional and appropriate manner and responds to and gives feedback in a respectful and positive manner.

EDUCATION/TRAINING/LICENSES:

  • BS in Marketing or related degree

MINIMUM EXPERIENCE, SKILLS AND QUALIFICATIONS:

  • Six years of sales/marketing experience in the terminal industry.
  • Knowledge of marketing principles and ability to accurately apply and use marketing and sales concepts.
  • Knowledge of market/industry trends.
  • Ability to research and analyze market/industry/customers and to apply that information to manage accounts and increase sales.
  • Ability to understand and apply basic mathematical concepts.
  • Ability to incorporate favorable terms for the company into negotiations.
  • Ability to read, analyze and interpret general business and professional journals, technical procedures, governmental regulations, financial reports and legal documents.
  • Ability to effectively present information, communicate with, and respond to questions and complaints from co - workers, management, and customers.
