Introduction
International Opportunity, Abu Dhabi, Tug Master required to oversee the navigation and the seaworthiness of Tug boats and for facilitating the berthing and un-berthing of vessels arriving at or leaving the port while implementing and maintaining total compliance with the Safety Management system in accordance with company wide safety and environmental protection policy.

Minimum Requirements:
Master Foreign Going Class 1 Regulation II / 2
Valid STCW Certification
2 Years Experience as a Harbour Tug Master or in a Senior Position on-board Off-Shore Tankers

Responsible for all operations on the tug boat to facilitate the berthing and un-berthing of vessels arriving at or leaving the port.

Takes all operational decisions on the Tug Boat.

Responsible for taking appropriate action/decisions during contingencies, accidents or other emergencies.

Takes appropriate day to day actions to ensure the safety of personnel, equipment and infrastructure are overriding considerations in day to day management.

Works in line with port rules and regulations and client contract terms.

The Tug master has to be very conscious of ensuring the safety of all equipment and people while berthing and un-berthing vessels without incident or delay.

There must be no ambiguity in orders and work must be carried out effectively and on time.

Tug Masters must ensure optimum operational status of vessels are achieved and maintained.
