We have partnered with a Global Oil and Gas Industry leader that is looking for a Construction Quality Control Manager.

The Construction Quality Control Manager position will be based in Houston.

 

Responsibilities for the Construction Quality Control Manager:

  • Reviews contractual issues relating to Quality and ensure Contractual Quality Requirements are met on the Project in a complex joint venture EPFC Project organization
  • Assures the project quality requirements are documented within Project Quality Plan, Project Execution Plan, Engineering, Procurement Construction, Commissioning and Subcontracts Plans and approved
  • Prepares / Implements Project Quality Plan, Construction Quality Plan, ITPs and Project specific Quality procedures to ensure compliance with Quality Management System and contractual requirements. Gives Input to the Project Execution plans, Coordination procedures, etc
  • Assures the compliance with established Codes, Standards, Regulations, Policies, Procedures and Contractual Requirements
  • Assures the quality requirements are understood and work is performed in accordance with Project Quality Plan, Applicable Codes, Policies, Procedures, Drawings and Specific Contract Requirements
  • Coordinates and supervises all Quality Management activities of the Project
  • Executes manpower planning of Quality team, manage Discipline/Location Quality Managers within the Project. Manages the activities of project quality personnel
  • Monitors the Quality performance of vendors and sub-contractors. Monitors and Assesses the Quality Plans of sub-contractors and identifies any necessary corrective measures. Reviews supplier(s) and subcontractor(s) Quality and Welding documents for compliance to the project procedures, codes, specifications and drawings for compliance
  • Plans and leads Project Auditing activities
  • Initiates and promotes all necessary corrective actions for any failure identified within the Project
  • Monitors the adequate close out of Nonconformities, Corrective Actions, Audit Findings
  • Monitors and provides periodic analysis of project Key Performance Indicators
  • Provides quality training to project personnel, as necessary
  • Gives input to the Project Monthly Reports
  • Ensures project close out reports are adequately drawn at appropriate times
  • Supports and participates in Project Risk assessments, identify risks and mitigate
  • Provides direct coaching and mentoring to improve quality performance
  • Ensures that Employees conduct job safety assessments on every job and that all personnel understand they are not to take risks and that they must refuse to perform unsafe work

Requirements for the Construction Quality Control Manager:

  • Strong knowledge and experience in implementation and improvement of Quality management Systems based on ISO Standards
  • Bachelor's degree in Engineering with minimum 10 years Oil and Gas related experience or an Associate Degree with minimum 15 years of experience
  • Strong communication and managerial skills, ability to manage the work and his team
  • Must have knowledge of quality, safety, engineering and oil and gas terminology
  • Must be able to read, write and communicate fluently in English
  • Must be able to effectively lead and/or participate in diverse teams
  • Must be willing to travel
