Project Controls Manager

We have partnered with a Global Oil and Gas Industry leader that is looking for a Controls Systems Engineer.

The Controls Systems Engineer position will be based in Houston.

Responsibilities for the Control Systems Engineer:

• Performs work, generally within one discipline, which involves the preparation, interpretation or review of calculations, specifications, plans, investigations, surveys, structures, systems or equipment with relatively few complex features.
• Experience of 2 to 8 years with practical work experience in Control Systems design engineering and database management.
• Participates in one or more of the following:
• Support department on how to use "Engineering & Design Application" such as SPI, BCS-TOOLS.
• Provide basic user training on how to use engineering automation tools;
• Performs project setup activities (database / application configurations / customizations);
• Setup & Configure Integration with other BSAPs (SetRoute, DataBroker, iRING, SPF etc);
• Provides database support on multiple projects;
• Preparation or review of engineering studies and reports

Requirements for the Control Systems Engineer:

• Candidate has good technical knowledge of instrumentation & Control Systems engineering and associated database management. Good knowledge of major industry or regulatory standards and design criteria pertinent to the particular engineering discipline. Prefer Engineering-in-Training (EIT) Certification.
• Candidate has a recognized degree in Engineering / Computer Science / Information Management from an accredited college or university.
  • Strong Relational database knowledge;
  • Data modelling and normalization;
  • Experience with creating / maintaining Oracle databases;
  • Proficient in SQL, PL/SQL language (a plus);
  • MS SQL database.

Additional Experience Preferred for the Control Systems Engineer:

• SPPID, SPF, SPC, and SP3D.
