Trainee Chief Engineer - Dredger

On behalf of a vessel owner, operating in the UK, Faststream are recruiting for a Trainee Chief Engineer position to work on a Dredger in UK waters.

The role…

This is a permanent contract with 3 week on/off rotations. You must have previous experience on a Dredging vessel, or similar, to be considered for this role. There is a flexible start date for this role.

As this role is for a Trainee Chief Engineer my client are looking for someone who holds an Unlimited Chief Engineer COC but has not yet sailed above 1st/2nd Engineer but is looking to take the next step.

A right to work in the UK is essential for this role - applications with out will not be considered.


The ideal candidate would meet the following requirements:

Chief Engineer Unlimited
ENG1 Medical
STCW basic certification
Previous experience as Engineer on a Dredger

This role has an annual salary starting around £41,000 whilst in training.
