Mechanical Supervisor

Our client, the operator of one of the largest dry dock facilities in the Middle East, is seeking a Mechanical Supervisor to oversee all mechanical related maintenance, repair, refurbishment and improvement works across assigned projects.

Reporting directly to the Maintenance Manager, the job holder will be responsible the safe operating of a wide range of mechanical equipment, adhering to high standards of work and maintenance, including troubleshooting of reliability issues as and when required. Such equipment will include Shiplifts, Synchrolifts, Compressors, Pumps and other Mechanical equipment and installations.

In addition, the role will require the supervision of a diverse work force, which will involve performance appraisals, employee development and control of man hours on site.

Further responsibilities will include reporting to management on project progress, budgeting and inventory control as per company requirements, whilst a strong sense of customer care and satisfaction will be required.

Successful candidates will possess a Mechanical Engineering Diploma or equivalent, backed up with a solid background in field/site based mechanical works in a similar role. Supervisory experience will be preferable, along with a detailed understanding of procurement planning, inspection, regulations and standards relevant to mechanical installations.
