Commodity Accounting Manager

We have partnered with a Global Oil and Gas Industry leader that is looking for a Commodity Accounting Manager.

The Commodity Accounting Manager position will be based in Houston. The ideal candidate for this role possesses strong communications skills and coordinates correspondence between accounting divisions along with having extensive knowledge or the energy industry.

COMMODITY ACCOUNTING MANAGER RESPONSIBILITIES:

• Reconcile, analyse and review ledger accounts ensuring accuracy and validity for month end close
• Have extensive knowledge in physical gas settlements accounting and transportation and storage accounting
• Maintain and supervise preparation of documentation in support or internal and external audits
• Ability to put together projects for Dod-Frank compliance, documentation and review or lease, derivative, non-derivative and disclosure implications and ETRM implementations
• Review financial and disclosures related to commodity accounting transactions including pipeline and storage commitments

COMMODITY ACCOUNTING MANAGER REQUIREMENTS:

• Bachelor's Degree in Accounting or Finance. CPA is a plus and preferred
• At least 5 years of experience in in related field preferably in Midstream or upstream oil and gas industry
• Oracle ERP experience is a plus
