Manager of Financial Planning and Analysis

We have partnered with a Global Oil and Gas Industry leader that is looking for a Manager of Financial Planning and Analysis.

The Manager of Financial Planning and Analysis position will be based in Houston.

Key Accountabilities for the Manager of Financial Planning and Analysis:

• Responsible for all planning, forecasting, reporting and analysis as it relates to North American Gas Marketing
• Coordinate with Accounting to bridge and clearly communicate monthly results and key performance metrics
• Partner with North American Gas Marketing to better align responsibilities with Finance, ensuring transparency of data flows
• Understand business, contracts, and strategies, communicating issues and related accounting implications to various stakeholders
• Responsible for technical accounting support,including research and assessments on various subject matters, such as derivative and lease accounting determinations.

Experience needed for the Manager of Financial Planning and Analysis:

Basic Qualifications:

• Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance or related field required
• Strong analytical and Excel modeling skills with ability to understand various planning models/data sources

Preferred Qualifications:

• CPA or Chartered Accountant qualification with derivative accounting experience
• Exposure to and understanding of North American Gas Markets.
• Strong communication skills with ability to interact with commercial team and executives on a regular basis.
• Extreme detail-orientation and able to understand and communicate higher-level strategic objectives/challenges.
• Ability to work and coordinate across time zones to ensure proper commercial team and Group Finance support.
