Being a member of the Riding Team means having a crucial role in ensuring the smooth operation of our vessels. 

The Diesel Generator Riding Team specializes in conducting overhauls, specialized maintenance, and handling projects related to our engines.

Your chartered goal

  • Lead, guide, and supervise a team of 4-6 members, ensuring effective workload distribution and high-quality task completion.
  • Plan, coordinate, and oversee maintenance, repair, and overhaul activities for diesel generator systems, including work scope definition and material planning.
  • Conduct inventory checks and assist in requisitions for spare parts, consumables, tools, and equipment
  • Coordinate clear and effective communication between onboard and shore-side stakeholders, ensuring accurate reporting and documentation of completed maintenance and service activities
  • Ensure compliance with HESS and fire safety regulations while maintaining a safe, clean, and efficient working environment.

Your previous ports of call

  • Bachelor's, Master's, or Engineering degree in Mechanical, Marine, Electrical, or a related technical field and valid STCW certificates required for onboard personnel
  • Minimum 2 years of sea service as a Watch Engineer, including at least 12 months in a management-level position (2nd Engineer or higher), or equivalent experience
  • Proven experience in managing maintenance teams and strong knowledge of Diesel Generator units
  • Ability to demonstrate and apply skills under pressure and openness to share knowledge with colleagues
  • Fluency in written and spoken English is essential for effectively interacting with colleagues onboard and in the office
  • Strong leadership, communication, and organizational skills, as well as readiness to travel
  • Safety-conscious, team-oriented, and results-driven mindset

Work Experience Requirements

All applicants must have previous experience in working on ships.

Language Requirements

Good knowledge of the English language is required.

Certificates and Qualifications

Mandatory STCW certificates are required from all applicants.
