Seaworthy are looking for a Deputy Manager/Ship Planner to join a Container Ship company, working in England. Candidate must have a minimum of 2 years previous experience as 2nd Officer or higher on Container vessels. This is an office-based role initially with flexible working usually approved following successful completion of 6 month probationary period. Once approved, employees can work from home for up to two days per week.

The role will involve managing the stowage of Container Vessels including Dangerous Goods, oversized cargoes, scheduling and fuel requirements of the vessels, as well as other daily tasks on companies varied sized ships, including Ultra Large Container Ships. The successful candidate will also be involved in the management of alliances. Candidate must be organised and be able to prioritise workload to fit the scheduling. Great communication skills and the ability interact verbally with people across the world where English is not their first language is required.

Location - Southeast Coast, England. Salary - £43,000-£51,000 per annum subject to experience. Start Date - Thursday 1st October 2026.
