Our client is currently seeking a Purchasing Manager Globally.

Summary

Responsible to the Managing Director in respects of planning, organizing and controlling all activities in the Purchasing Department. The role will also be required to support and actively participate in commercial meetings with potential clients; this includes the collation and submission of tenders, providing business presentation etc.

Main duties

  • To ensure that procedures laid down are communicated and the progress of activities is regulated and checked against targets and plans
  • To continually improve the effectiveness and efficiency of the Purchasing Division and ensure the division level processes are clearly communicated and understood
  • Provide strategic input and recommendations as to the potential growth of the company.
  • To be overall responsible for the customers that are being assigned, ensure effective customer engagement is maintained and be the point of escalation for customer complaints.
  • To provide same working day response to our customers
  • To review customers’ requirements and resolve any contractual differences with the customers as well as suppliers
  • To communicate effectively and clearly at all times with our customers and suppliers
  • To negotiate with suppliers for better terms, conditions and prices
  • To procure goods or services cost effectively and ensure on time delivery by suppliers at the agreed price and to meet internal and external quality, safety and certification requirements
  • To ensure that our customers get the right item, at the required time and place and at the right cost safely

We are looking for someone with a vast amount of experience in global procurement and an extensive amount of experience at Manager level, ideally woth overseas experience.
