Temporary Vacancy - Marine Engineer - Aberdeen Based

We have a temporary vacancy for a Marine Engineer to join a bunker barge operating across the ports of Aberdeen (North and South Harbours). The candidate will be responsible for the mechanical integrity and operational readiness of an oil barge.

Must have a thorough understanding of the technical and regulatory demands of maintaining propulsion, power generation and cargo handling systems in a busy commercial port environment.

Start Date: Mid July. Working Monday to Friday. Duration: 6 Months.

Ideal candidate will have 2-5 years of marine engineering experience, strong practical knowledge of marine engines, systems and fault finding, and proven experience as a senior officer on oil barges or similar vessels. Must have all STCW certificates in date and ENG1.
