Navis Consulting is supporting a leading global ship management organisation in the search for an experienced Fleet Manager to join their Hong Kong office.

This is a senior leadership position responsible for the overall technical management, operational performance and compliance of a fleet of Pure Car Truck Carriers (PCTC). The successful candidate will oversee a team of Technical Superintendents while acting as the key point of contact for vessel owners, internal stakeholders and senior management.

This opportunity would suit an experienced Fleet Manager, Senior Technical Superintendent or Technical Manager looking to take ownership of a fleet within a well established international organisation.

Responsibilities

• Lead and manage a team of Technical Superintendents responsible for a fleet of PCTC vessels
• Ensure vessels operate safely, efficiently and in full compliance with Class, Flag State and industry regulations
• Monitor technical budgets, vessel performance and key operational KPIs
• Oversee drydockings, major repairs, surveys and planned maintenance activities
• Review and support technical planning for upcoming dockings and special surveys
• Build and maintain strong relationships with vessel owners, shipyards, suppliers and internal stakeholders
• Support commercial performance through close collaboration with operational departments
• Drive continuous improvement across safety, compliance and technical performance
• Participate in business planning, budgeting and fleet strategy discussions

Requirements

• First Class Chief Engineer (Motor) Certificate of Competency from an IMO White List country, or a degree in Marine Engineering, Naval Architecture, Mechanical Engineering or a related discipline
• Minimum 5 years’ experience as a Technical Superintendent, or
• Minimum 2 years’ experience as a Fleet Manager, Technical Manager or Senior Technical Superintendent
• Previous experience managing or supporting PCTC vessels is essential
• Strong knowledge of drydockings, vessel maintenance, surveys and technical operations
• Experience managing budgets, KPIs and vessel performance
• Excellent communication and stakeholder management skills
• Strong understanding of Class, Flag State and statutory requirements
• Fluent English communication skills
• Willingness to relocate to Hong Kong
