A leading international maritime organisation is seeking an LNG Infrastructure Marine Superintendent to support the safe, compliant and efficient operation of LNG infrastructure assets from their Antwerp headquarters.

The role combines marine operations, HSEQ leadership, vetting readiness and operational compliance within a technically complex LNG environment.

Responsibilities

As LNG Infrastructure Marine Superintendent, you will oversee the marine, navigational and operational compliance of assigned LNG infrastructure assets, ensuring the highest standards of safety, environmental performance and operational excellence are maintained across the fleet.

You will act as a key link between shore management, onboard teams and external stakeholders, providing operational guidance, supporting inspections and audits, and driving continuous improvement initiatives across marine and HSEQ activities.

The position also supports infrastructure projects and transition activities, making it an ideal opportunity for a senior seagoing professional looking to move into a broad, operationally focused shore based leadership role.

This role requires a strong operational mindset, confidence working with senior onboard personnel and the ability to manage both compliance and commercial expectations within a demanding LNG environment.

• Oversee marine operations, navigational safety and HSEQ performance across assigned assets
• Ensure compliance with company procedures, international regulations and industry standards
• Support LNG infrastructure projects through operational and marine expertise
• Coordinate inspections, vetting preparation and terminal acceptance activities
• Conduct internal navigational audits and support incident investigations
• Drive continuous improvement across marine operations and HSEQ performance
• Monitor compliance with OCIMF, CDI and relevant IMO standards
• Support emergency response activities and participate in duty management rotations
• Provide operational guidance and direction to onboard teams and internal stakeholders
• Support audit close out processes and implementation of corrective actions

Requirements

• Master Mariner certification with STCW Management Level
• Previous experience in a senior onboard management position
• Strong LNG operational experience is essential
• Excellent understanding of cargo operations and marine safety management
• Experience with OCIMF, CDI and international maritime regulations
• Strong understanding of navigational safety, mooring operations and operational risk
• Ability to engage confidently with Masters, crews and operational stakeholders
• Experience supporting inspections, audits and compliance activities
• Strong communication and leadership capability
• Fluent English required
• EU working rights or Belgium/EU based candidates highly preferred
