Production Manager (Boat Building)

Our client is the world leader in the construction of high-end, high-performance carbon-fiber catamarans. To support the strong growth of the brand and the construction of six boats over 60 ft in the south of France, we are looking for a Production Manager.

Responsibilities

• Leading and coordinating daily on-site production activities with the support of trade managers
• Managing and engaging production teams: recruitment, onboarding, training, and internal development
• Managing subcontractors and suppliers
• Overseeing the budget and tracking KPIs: production costs, payroll, time tracking, progress/work in progress
• Driving continuous improvement of the shipyard: monitoring and improving production organization, working on visual performance management tools (MVP)
• Preventing workplace risks and implementing action plans in collaboration with the HSE department.

Requirements

• Have at least 10 years of successful experience in building or refitting large boats in offshore racing or yachting
• Have a strong interest in construction and solid leadership skills
• Highly adaptable, persuasive, and have strong interpersonal skills
• Able to identify performance gaps and translate strategy into operational objectives
• Fluent in both French and English.
