Technical Superintendent (Container)

A Technical Superintendent (Container Ships) is sought to join a Rotterdam office, overseeing the technical management of a specialised container fleet within an international environment. Candidates must have EU right to work.

Responsibilities

An opportunity has arisen for a Technical Superintendent to oversee the technical performance and condition of assigned container vessels, ensuring safe, compliant and cost-effective operations from a Rotterdam-based office.

Key responsibilities include:

• Managing the technical condition and performance of assigned vessels
• Conducting vessel inspections and coordinating surveys, repairs and class/flag requirements
• Planning and executing dry dockings
• Preparing and managing vessel budgets
• Overseeing cost-effective procurement of spares, stores and services

Requirements

• Sea-going experience as a minimum Second Engineer and/or relevant shore-based Technical Superintendent experience
• Strong technical knowledge of vessel operations and maintenance
• Experience with planned maintenance systems such as AMOS or ShipNet
• Good working knowledge of MS Office
• Strong communication and reporting skills
• Fluent English, written and spoken
• Team-oriented with the ability to work in an international environment
• Must have EU right to work
