Inspector - Oil, Gas, Chemical, Terminal

Our client is a leading inspection, verification and testing company who operate on a global basis, They have a multitude of contracts with the UK's oil & gas refinery and terminals.

Our client is looking for an Inspector to join the team in the N.E of England.

Main Purpose of Role
* Responsible for performing quantity determination inspections of ships, barges and pipeline transfers of petroleum, LPG, petrochemical and chemical products.
* Provide assistance to the Operations and/or Field Supervisors in managing inspection activities in the most professional and efficient manner.

Experience

Essential
* Experience of working in an industrial environment.
* Experience of dealing directly with clients, presenting them with data/reports and answering queries.

Desirable
* Understanding of Oil & Chemical storage and transfer procedures.
* Understanding of tank measurement and critical sample taking procedures.
* Experience of Oil and Chemicals industry, particularly oil / chemical products, storage and handling facilities.
* Experience of working as an inspector in the OGC sector.
* Working on or with shipping - e.g. Chief Officer.

Qualifications

Essential
* GCSE: Maths & English (grades A to C) or equivalent.
* Full UK driving licence.

Desirable
* International Federation of Inspection Agencies Exam
* A level: Maths & one science based subject. (or equivalent)
* Science/Technical based degree
