I am looking for Security Guards to join a large international cruise line. This role is responsible for conducting regular safety rounds and ensuring effective gangway security to maintain the safety and security of passengers, crew, and the vessel.
Responsibilities
The Security Guard plays a key role in maintaining the safety, security, and environmental standards onboard the vessel. The successful candidate will be responsible for the following:
- Work closely with supervisors and colleagues to understand, comply with, and actively support the company’s environmental policies, demonstrating a strong commitment to environmental protection. Report immediately to the direct supervisor if any environmental system onboard is not functioning correctly.
- Be fully familiar with the Safety & Quality Management Program, including assigned duties within the Safety Organization as outlined in the Emergency Plan and Station Bill.

- Remain alert at all times during safety rounds. Security Guards may be the first to arrive at the scene of an incident or fire and must be able to assess the situation and take appropriate action until additional assistance arrives.
- Maintain thorough knowledge of the location and proper use of all safety-related and emergency equipment onboard.
- Serve as an additional point of observation throughout the vessel, identifying and reporting any passenger-, crew-, or ship-related issues. Immediately report unusual incidents, violations of shipboard regulations, or abuse of company property to the Chief Security Officer or, if unavailable, the Deck Officer on duty.
- Be familiar with procedures for handling and resolving passenger complaints in a professional and courteous manner.
- Perform additional duties and routines as assigned by the supervisor.
Requirements
Previous experience in Marine Safety and Security. STCW Basic Safety training. Good communication and social skills. Strong character, professional ethics, well-tempered and well mannered.
