Marine Operations Superintendent (Bulk)

An excellent opportunity to join a globally recognised shipping organisation, supporting fleet operations across bulk carriers from a shore-based role in Greece or Romania.

Responsibilities

• Daily follow-up on vessels’ marine performance, navigation standards and operational requirements
• Monitor vessel correspondence and provide guidance on marine-related issues
• Review upcoming cargoes and provide loading/discharge instructions to Masters
• Provide marine data required for fixtures or charterer enquiries
• Work closely with Technical teams to support and follow up on deck maintenance
• Ensure vessels are fully prepared for audits, inspections and compliance checks

Requirements

• Served as Captain, with at least 1 year of shore-based experience (up to ~5 years preferred)
• Candidates without shore experience may also be considered if they have sailed exclusively on bulk carriers
• Proven background within the maritime industry
• Experience with bulk vessels required
• Strong interpersonal and communication skills
• Organised, diligent and able to work effectively within a team
